Can my 3 yo go in the ocean after toe-nail surgery?

She had the procedure 8 days ago, has been soaking twice daily in warm water w/ epsom salt and been taking antibiotics daily. Toes are healing fine, but new skin has not yet fully developed. Saw podiatrist yesterday and he is happy with healing process. Did not ask about going to the beach. She has played in the sand once since, but not in the ocean. Would this be ok?Can my 3 yo go in the ocean after toe-nail surgery?
I wouldn't let the baby in the ocean, Ocean water is disgusting. Thats a for sure way to get an infection..Can my 3 yo go in the ocean after toe-nail surgery?
Ummm my worry would be opening up the wound by hurtin it in some way - could she wear those swim shoes to protect it? The water wont actually hurt it (since she puts it in salt water already) as long as its washed after ward. But i would worry about it getting hurt and breaking open like stubbing it on a rock or something.
no, it is not alright to go in the ocean, the wound can absorb all the bacteria from dead fish, really any thing,if not completely healed, it will be a big infection. wait till it is healed to go in any dirty water, the ocean is salty and not clean...Why take a chance??
