Can an ingrown toe nail grow back 6 months since surgery?

I had toenail surgery 6 months ago, and ive had no problems but now the bottom corner of my big toe is painful when a press it, its not swollen, red or has any puss. Im worried what could it be?Can an ingrown toe nail grow back 6 months since surgery?
My fiances ingrown toenail came back 3 times, Eventually the doctor put stuff on it that would make it so the toenail will never grow back there. It looks weird but he doesnt have to worry about it anymoreCan an ingrown toe nail grow back 6 months since surgery?
it can come back....truth to be told i had it come back once but then a good surgeon was found and fixed it and now its all good.
