What's the least painful way to take out a in-grown toe nail by yourself?

if there is one...

thanks! What's the least painful way to take out a in-grown toe nail by yourself?
Right. You don't need to see a podiatrist or anything crazy like that. Just see your everyday, run of the mill doctor. If it's painful, it's probably already infected.

Clip the very front of your nails with the clipper, but don't try working on the sides / corners / whatever we're calling it with the clippers. That is usually how they will get ingrown in the first place. Use the file. And it is still possible to sharpen the sides of your nails with the file, to the point where they will start to get ingrown, so be careful, it's hard to explain in writing. Your doctor can totally show you how this is done. What's the least painful way to take out a in-grown toe nail by yourself?
Don't try and take it out by yourself otherwise you could end up by making it worse.

I suggest you go along to a chiropodist and get it seen to there.

They have ways of properly dealing with that sort of thing these days.

Old Frodo and Bilbo went to see one once and they never looked back.
I wouldn't attempt it. But one trick I learned to stop them from getting worse is to file a ';V'; in the middle of the nail (at the top of course, where you file.) The nail automatically grows in to fill itself in the middle, thereby NOT growing out to the sides.
well take a shower or bath first, maybe soak in some Epsom salt. Then trim your toe nail. Then with tweezers gently go about taking it out.

Good luck!
Use a Stanley knife or a Soldering Iron, remember precision is the key.
get the doctor to do it. If you don't you'll just get it infected or something so do yourself a favor
There isn't a way. Go to the doctor and they'll do it for you. :-)
sorry but there is absolutely no way you have to get surgery sorry and good luck!!
