If her nail is grown out enough, cut a V into the top of the nail, it makes the nail grow in (instead of out) to fill in the hole.
But if this doesn't work I STRONGLY recommend going to the doctor because if you ignore it for long enough your daughter could lose her foot.
In australia there is a product called tea tree oil i use this on my pts.It softens the nail so it can be manipulated out.
