Actually I had an ingrown toenail about 6 weeks ago. The doctor didn't give me an antibiotic. He just took it out and told me to take Advil. I was fine. You may not need an antibiotic.What antibotics did your doctor give you for your ingrown toe nail?
Why take any at all? This happens way too often when someone gets something removed they automatically want or think they need them. Did you know that doing this can cause you to get MRSA? This repetitive ordering and taking antibiotics has been proved to not be good for people to do. Please don't ask for them. Just make sure you keep the area clean until it starts to heal again. Prevention is a much better way of doing things today. Negligence is a part of the problem too. Years ago doctors ordered antibiotics for every infection. People either took them until feeling better and never finished them or took them all the time for everything. Please take some time to look up MRSA at webmd.com and then just ask the podiatrist how to keep this area clean and cared for instead of asking or getting antibiotics. Good luck and God Bless
All I did was soak it in Epsom Salts. Better already :)
