Are fish more attracted to certain toe nail polish colors when swimming in the lake?

While swimming the other day in a pond I had a fish bite my toes! My toe-nail polish is a bright pink/coral right now and my friend said they are more attracted to bright colors. Is this true? I'll be headed to the lake this week for vacation and I'd rather no more fish snack on my toes! Are fish more attracted to certain toe nail polish colors when swimming in the lake?
I have no idea but I am LMAO...Thanks I needed a good laugh.

Seriously though I could see where it could be quiet possible.

Just go with the no polish effect. Are fish more attracted to certain toe nail polish colors when swimming in the lake?
Yes twinkle toes they probably were attracted to the color of your polish but also if the fish is in a spawning mode your foot may have come close to its bed of eggs and took a nibble out of defense. The fish could also mistaken your toes for a school of fry (baby fish) and tried to snack. Be lucky I have had my foot snapped at by a turtle and it felt like I stepped on glass. Pinks, blues, red may attract fish. Go Goth try black, the only time I get fish to hit a black bait is at night or in very dirty and muddy water.
Yes, fish are more attracted to certain colors than others because they could see those colors better.

Good fish attracting colors are: Green, black, yellow, white, red, orange, blue, teal, pink, brown, purple and all neon series colors. The list isn't 100% complete but I think it covered most common fish attracting colors in shallower waters or near the surface.
Fish are attracted to anything that moves in the water no matter the color. They were probably just minnows biting at you. It happens to me everytime i swim at the lake, especially in shallow water like the roped of beach areas. Im a guy and of course dont wear pink nail polish lol and still get bit so simply taking off the polish probably wont make a difference.
well the answer is yes. i don't know if you know any body that fishes

but if you do, look in there tackle box it is full of all different kinds of colors. i don't think changing the color will help any as i have swam in lakes all my life and i have gotten a few nibbles and sense i'm a man i don't even color my toe nails. i do know that fish hate deet which is an ingredient in bug repellent try spraying some of that on your feet.
its long with a little red on it they think its bleeding and eat is so if you painted your middle finger red and wiggled it ya they would bite!
